Overview

Shimla is the capital of the state of HImachal Pradesh. It is a very popular holiday place during the summer months and is well known for its Victorian architecture, which is reflected in certain areas of the Mall and the Ridge. In Shimla Most residents are from the Pahadi community (the natives of HP), but there is also a sizable minority from Sindh and Punjab who moved to Shimla during the partition.Shimla is very famous holiday spot for honeymoon.

 

Narkanda is a town and a nagar panchayat It is at an altitude of 2708 meters on the Hindustan-Tibet Road It is a skiing resort in winter. It connects Shimla with Rampur and a detour also goes to Thanedhar, which is the prime apple belt of Himachal Pradesh where Satyananda Stokes started the apple culture.
